Fix nightmare flood in house dream interpretation methods shared

Been having this nightmare on repeat for weeks now. Woke up sweating like crazy again last night – whole dang house flooding knee-deep while I’m just standing there helpless. Decided enough’s enough, time to fix this dream nonsense once and for all. Tried every “dream meaning” search result first – total waste of time.

Then I remembered my grandma’s old trick: Keep a notebook right by the bed to trap nightmares. Grabbed some scrap paper and a pen I stole from the dentist’s office. Set up my bootleg sleep lab phase:

  • Wrote “FLOOD GTF OUT” on the paper before crashing
  • Left the notebook open with pen sitting right on top
  • Chugged 3 glasses of water so I’d wake up mid-dream

Woke up at 3 AM needing to pee bad. Snapped awake mid-flood dream – water was already at my waist this time. Grabbed that notebook so fast I almost fell outta bed. Scribbled while still half asleep:

  • Black mold patches on basement walls
  • Smashed phone screen floating by
  • Grandma’s rocking chair upside down in water

Went straight to the basement when sun came up. Found actual black mold behind the water heater – been ignoring that leak for months. Saw my cracked phone screen reflecting light weird when I charged it yesterday. And grandma’s chair? Knocked it over vacuuming last week.

Phase 2: Dumb Fixes For Dumb Dreams

Called mold removal guys first – cost me $240 bucks. Bought cheap phone screen protector from the gas station. Put grandma’s chair upright with flowers on the seat. That night? Still dreamed about water, but only ankle deep now. Progress.

Next round: Made a “stress list” before bed. Wrote down every nagging thing:

  • Basement still smells musty
  • Forgot mom’s birthday call
  • That jerky coworker

Texted mom right then at midnight. Sprayed Febreze like a madman. Water dream came back but I’m suddenly wearing rain boots? Woke up laughing my ass off.

Been four nights dry now. Wild how literal this crap was – leaky pipes and ignored chores translated to tsunamis in my stupid brain. Still keeping that nasty mold invoice taped to my nightstand though. Just in case.
